Shared Trunking & Repeater Networks

Two Way Radios

Trunking Network

Trunking is a 2-way radio technology where radios operate through a multiple channel repeater, which can support several conversations occurring simultaneously. Waiting for a free channel is virtually eliminated; if the first channel is being used, the transmission is automatically directed to the next available channel.

Trunking Individual Calls

Repeater Network

Our shared repeater network is available to clients to extend their coverage in the following areas:

  • North, Central, and South Okanagan
  • West Kootenays
  • Shuswap region

Users on the system can not hear each others conversations, so privacy is maintained. Additionally, users can not talk over each other, as the channel locks when the PTT (push-to-talk) button is pressed.

Omega offers clients access to our trunking and repeater networks as one of our services. To inquire about using our network for your radio access, or to find out if this is a solution that's right for you, contact our head office: 888-860-8016.
